Celebrating Asian Heritage Month: Cincinnati's Top Asian Cuisine and where to find it.
Last weekend, the Hghly Fvrd. Team perused the annual Asian Food Fest presented by Kroger in search of Cincinnati’s best Asian cuisine. The annual festival celebrates the various Asian cultures represented here in Cincinnati. Participants of the event can find food from all corners of Asia, including some pretty interesting cultural mash-ups like Hawaiian-Filipino and Chinese-Latin cuisine. The most unique part of the event is the “Secret Menu” stations, where locals can try cuisines more authentic to what is actually eaten in some Asian cultures, rather than the altered-for-American-taste dishes typically found at your everyday Chinese restaurants. Not only is this a beautiful celebration of Asian Heritage Month, but the Asian Food fest is a great learning opportunity for anyone looking to learn more about a different culture or expand their palette.
Right about now, I know you’re probably feeling really bummed-out about missing such a fun and culturally diverse event! While the event is set to come back next year, the HF team has compiled a list of their favorites and where to get them so you can keep the celebration going all year long.
